Frequently Asked Questions

We serve all of Norfolk, including Long Stratton, Ashwellthorpe, and surrounding towns and villages.

We offer the full range of veterinary care you’d expect from a modern clinic: exams, diagnostics, treatments, vaccinations, prescriptions, and preventive care. Most services (except major surgery) are available in your own home. For surgery, x-rays and more complex cases we transport animals to our quiet surgery in Hempnall. We only ever have one or two pets in at a time so they are guaranteed a quiet environment and one to one care.

Booking is easy—just call our friendly team on 01508 498718. Or use our online registration form and a colleague will get back to you. You can choose a time that suits you.

If you are not sure whether our service is for you we will send out  a nurse to carry out a complimentary, no-obligation health check for your pet and discuss the best way forward.

These checks are for pets that are currently well or stabilised on long term medications. Sick pets will need a visit from a vet, which is chargeable at our standard rate.

All our vets are fully qualified, insured, and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). We bring the same level of care as any reputable clinic—just delivered at your door.

All of our visiting staff are DBS checked

You get the same level of clinical expertise and equipment, with the added benefit of less stress for your pet and more convenience for you. Most services are available at home; for cases needing a clinic (e.g., surgery), we can transport your pet to our surgery in Hempnall.

We provide urgent care for many common emergencies. If your pet needs immediate, life-saving surgery or intensive hospitalisation, we’ll help arrange rapid referral to a trusted local partner clinic.

We specialise in gentle, low-stress handling. Being at home often makes pets more comfortable. If your pet is especially nervous, let us know when booking so we can tailor our approach.

You’ll always know your costs upfront. Pricing is clear and transparent—no hidden fees. Pay securely by BACS or by card at the time of booking.

Yes. We carry a full range of medications, flea/tick/worm prevention, and can issue prescriptions as needed—just like a traditional vet.

Most pet insurance policies cover our services, as we are fully qualified vets. We provide detailed receipts for your claims.

We have a dedicated member of staff who deals with insurance claims and who will guide you through the process if you need help.

We’ll check in after your visit to see how your pet is doing. You can reach us by phone, email, or website chat for advice or follow-up questions.

We offer flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends. Check our online booking for available times.
