In 2024, Paws Indoors was thrilled to win the Small Business Award at The Norfolk Business Awards. Here’s why we were deemed such a worthy winner.
Paws Indoors is the only dedicated mobile veterinary practice in East Anglia – where compassion meets convenience, and pets truly become family.
Established in 2003 by Rosie Smith, Paws Indoors emerged as the pioneer of mobile veterinary care in East Anglia. Rosie’s determination to balance motherhood with her passion for veterinary medicine led her to create a bold new service that would allow her to work from home.
In 2017, Rosie recruited her first employee, with others soon following suit and since then, Paws Indoors has grown into a thriving practice. Her commitment to personalised care and the team’s unwavering dedication to furry friends have been the driving forces behind their journey of growth and evolution.
From humble beginnings, Paws Indoors moved to local premises in 2020 and, in 2021, into a fully equipped surgery with a state-of-the-art theatre, diagnostics, and rehabilitation facilities. But our success isn’t measured solely in square footage—it’s in the trust and loyalty of our clients, who rely on us to provide compassionate care in the comfort of their own homes.
At Paws Indoors, we understand the importance of forging lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. Every team member shares a deep love for animals, ensuring that each consultation is met with empathy, understanding, and genuine care. Whether it’s a routine check-up or a sensitive end-of-life decision, we’re here to support our clients every step of the way.
Our commitment to accessibility extends beyond physical boundaries. Our catchment area is restricted to a journey time of approx. 30 minutes from our clinic, which means our clients are from the local community. In addition, all our visiting clinicians proudly use electric vehicles to reduce our carbon footprint. We proudly serve housebound, elderly, and disabled clients, as well as pets who struggle with travel-related stress or mobility issues. By bringing veterinary care directly to their doorsteps, we’re breaking down barriers and making a meaningful difference in the lives of both pets and their owners.
As proud recipients of the Norfolk Small Business Award, we’re honoured to be recognised for our dedication to excellence and innovation. But more than any accolade, our greatest reward comes from knowing that we’ve positively impacted the communities we serve.
